But the question is too general what do you mean by "cause" and what do you mean by "aging"? Literally - aging as "caused" by growing old... passage of time and all that. I suspect this is not what you mean.

The plural of spouse is "spice" ;)

i mean is self suggestion
Man doth not yield himself to the angels, nor unto death utterly, save only through the weakness of his feeble will.
– Joseph Glanvill, quoted by E A Poe in Ligea

Perhaps one wills oneself aged?

...because of what has been seen happening around one of the cause of death.
Generally the cause of ones death has happened around one - yes.

spouses

I dunno - I'd buy the female spouce as a force of Nature ... but they do tend to be so very expensive...

@shivakumar06: i think you need to go back to the drawing board on this question.

at the cell level, each chromosome is capped with a telomere string that gets shorter each time the DNA is replicated and after 50 or so replications the end of the line comes and the cells die.

Thanks to all that attempted to keep the thread under control. The member is now gone and all off topic/misinformation posts have been deleted to set the thread back on track. Unfortuantely all of the good posts went with it.

I guess spouses are an environmental factor, right?

So - interleaving Phinds humor and not so funny Science:

Epigenetics deals with genetic changes resulting from environmental changes to somatic (non-sex cell) DNA. Epigenetic aging studies are underway, here is one about tumorigenesis and epigenetics:
