Digestion


Okay so protein digestion happens alot in the stomach...how come the stomach doesnt just digest itself??

SAme with in the cell walls the stomach produces pepioinogen...so what does protien digestion do in that area.
and how come the cells dont digest themselves

The stomach is protected by excreted proteins that line the stomach, I'd have to look up the details.

yea thats the mucus...it protects the enzymes digesting the walls of the stomach
