AI Thread Summary
Spybot: Search and Destroy is not an antivirus program; it primarily detects and repairs registry or file changes caused by malware. Users experiencing persistent virus issues and pop-ups should consider using AdAware as an alternative solution, which is effective in cleaning up malware-related problems. AdAware offers a free version, making it accessible for those who do not wish to pay for antivirus software. Running a clean with AdAware can resolve most issues related to malware infections.
