Yes. I am Portuguese where the translation of “dark matter” is sometimes not well done. thank you by the alert- afcsimoes

Questions about the Corona virus
1. are there H2O molecules inside a Corona vírus? If yes, drying the virus kills it? 2. the lipid external layer of the Corona virus acts as a glue that attach the virus to any surface? 3. how much time a Corona vírus survives in the dry air? and in a dry surface?- afcsimoes

Graduate What Do These Famous Quotes Reveal About the Minds of Great Scientists?
Hi Auto-Didact I like your posts. You apears to me as a person with open mind and not slave of dogmas that can block scientific progress. Do you know the work of a portuguese scientist that has developed a new way tward unification of relativity and quantum theory? If you are curious about...- afcsimoes

High School My Third Post: Change of Intermolecular Distance?
Your question is about Physics or is about Chemistry? In molecular physics the van der Waals forces, named after Dutch scientist Johannes Diderik van der Waals, are distance-dependent and very week interactions between atoms or molecules. If your question is about Physics, Dale post is OK. If...- afcsimoes

Graduate Propagation of de Broglie waves
What is the explanation for that? At the second experiment, fired one by one, how can each electron interfere with all the previous and with all the futures? Or interfere with himself? Alternatively, can it be justified with some uncertainty/probabilistic quantic event at/in the shooter? Or at...- afcsimoes

Graduate Propagation of de Broglie waves
So, if we made a first duble slit experiment using a beam and a second experiment firing the same amount of particles but in a one by one basis, then we wil finish with two conrete objective and real identical images of an interference patern?- afcsimoes

Graduate Propagation of de Broglie waves
I have read that the today's mainstream QM is based on the infinite wave because it is the unique that has a defined frequency, with the sequente use of Fourier analisys. This lead to the lost of the locality. I also has read that the wavelets math concept can bring the losted locality back again.- afcsimoes

High School Is there a minimum wavelength for electromagnetic radiation?
Hi PeterDonis, Thank you v.m. by your very enlightening reply. I have learned that in physics the generic definition of field is that it is a region of space where we can assign a value to each and any point. A gravitational field is generated by one mass. A static electrical field is generated...- afcsimoes

High School Is there a minimum wavelength for electromagnetic radiation?
Yes. I forgot the frames question. So, theoretically there are no lower limit for the foton wavelength and there are no upper limit also. I realize now that i was thinking of the observer at the same frame of the local of foton's production. Fotons are produced when a charged particule is...- afcsimoes
