Convergence/Divergence of an Infinite Series
Hi, Thanks for the response. So to prove using comparison just start harmonic series at six. Makes sense, I hadn't thought of that. Referring to Mark44's response, no, I haven't heard of the limit comparison test, however, I will look it up. Thanks heaps for your time and input.- Alex Myhill

Convergence/Divergence of an Infinite Series
Homework Statement To Determine Whether the series seen below is convergent or divergent. Homework Equations ∑(n/((n+1)(n+2))) From n=1 to infinity. The Attempt at a Solution Tried to use the comparison test as the bottom is n^2 + 3n + 2, comparing to 1/n. However, this does not work as the...- Alex Myhill

Why does the voltage drop across a diode change with increasing current?
Homework Statement I have recently performed an experiment where the voltage drop and current through a diode were measured. I am wondering why the voltage drop across the diode changes. Theoretically, the voltage drop should stay the same as there is a certain amount of energy required to get...- Alex Myhill

Is it Possible to solve Exponential Equations like these?
Homework Statement Hi, I have come across this equation in modelling exponential growth and decay. I am wondering if it is possible to solve it algebraically or not? Homework Equations 8000-1.2031 * e^ (0.763x)=(0.5992×e^0.7895x) The Attempt at a Solution Brought all e^(ax) values to one...- Alex Myhill
