How can the neutral outer core generate a magnetic field?
Okay I can understand the neutrality. However does that mean the Earth's outer core has a electrical current?- AustinLee

How can the neutral outer core generate a magnetic field?
Even if the outer core is convecting and conductive it is still charge neutral, so how can a Magnetic field be generated? Maxwells Equation say there needs to be net charge moving for a Magnetic field to be generated.- AustinLee

Graduate Force Carrier for Electromagnetism
Can anybody give me or point me to a model that describes how electromagnetism works from a photon force carrier perspective. I like to know how the virtual photons are generated around an electron. Also why electromagnetism is polar. I am also confused why moving electric fields create magnetic...- AustinLee

Graduate Question about Quantum Computers
Hello Everyone I was hoping someone can answer how quantum computers work. I understand how digital logic works such as in AND gates and OR gates, but I am not sure how quantum physics wave functions can make this any faster. I was thinking maybe because whenever a piece of matter has the...- AustinLee

Graduate How Virtual Particles Give Rise to the electromagnetic force
Hello, Recently I have learned that magnetism causes the Lorentz force. The electric force makes sense to me in terms of virtual photons. But how do virtual photons give rise to magnetism and the Lorentz force. Is it because when the charged particle moves through an magnetic field it comes...- AustinLee

Graduate Quantum Entanglement FTL Thought Experiment
I am not sure if I understand quantum entanglement so I will propose a thought experiment which you can tell me if it is correct Say I entangle two quanta of matter, such that by observing one I collapse the wave function of the other immediately. Then I give one of the particles still in...- AustinLee
