So let me start by saying I do have clinically diagnosed OCD I take medication for it and have a therapist, its a constant struggle but generally I am able to overcome my ocd's through logic and reasoning but this time I'm stuck in a rut and hope that maybe someone with a neuroscience background...
So I just came across this while going through some comments on a youtube video talking about the double slit
Even if this guy is unknowingly referencing the double slit eraser this statement can't be correct, right? This has to be a misunderstanding of what's going on either by the user above...
Ok but are there any substances where photons interact strongly where you still see a pattern of light on the screen that is not the interference pattern?
I know that photons interact weakly with air molecules which is why we have the interference pattern, and I know they interact strongly with say mud so there would be no pattern in a mud pit, though I am not sure if in a mud pit there would be any kind of light that reaches the screen at all...
So this is pretty recent but it seems they found that consciousness is somehow linked to QM at least in how the brain works.I hope this doesent mean that thoughts/consciousness have an effect on reality.

like if I am afraid of spiders,
obsessivley thinking about spiders isn't going to magicley bring more spiders into my life and QM doesn't say that it will,
I am just trying to beat my ocd thinking fears,
I have a sphyciatrist so don't reccomend one but I was just hoping I would find...
just some newage bullox I came across that wants to bastardize a poorly understood science
QM doesent say that our thoughts become real or have anything to do with counsciousness right?
I think I understand it but I prefer a response from a sci advisor rather than whatever someone put up on wikipedia. I also searched for it here but I didnt find a proper explanation.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

But are some of the individual atoms or even cells inside my body in superposition?
sci advisor nugatory
Cells or even atoms? No. (OK, you can say "maybe" if you want, but as with my flying table we're talking "maybe" so small that it is might as...
From what I understand chemical bonds arrive from the transitions of electrons between atoms and some atoms for a period of time don't have electrons. I don't understand, I thought electrons were tied to specific atoms. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
