Motor wiring - will phases be unbalanced?

Thanks. Would it be correct to say that connecting a load across one phase could cause a volt drop on that phase, which would unbalance the motor, however this would be true in both versions of the circuit shown?

Motor wiring - will phases be unbalanced?

Ok an easy post to settle a discussion. I have posted two rough diagrams below. One shows a 3 phase motor connected directly to the supply through a 10Amp MCB for protection and a second single phase load connected via an MCB again. Now in theory if I was remove the 2nd MCB and connect the...

Calculating Charge on a Sphere Given Radius & Potential

I feel like the answer is staring me in the face, and no doubt it is But how do I find the charge on a conducting sphere, given its radius and potential?

Which Tennis Ball Hits the Ground First?

So the heavier ball has a greater terminal velocity, so if the balls fell long enough to reach terminal velocity then the heavier ball would hit the ground first?

Which Tennis Ball Hits the Ground First?

Well the way I was thinking about it was that if I had a car in a wind tunnel and tested it with the engine in and then with the engine out, the results will be the same. Also, if the extra weight helped then surely the skydivers (the ones that dive for speed) would strap weights to their jump...

Which Tennis Ball Hits the Ground First?

Ok, classic old question. Two tennis balls dropped from a very high height. One normal, one filled with lead, for example. So what will hit first? I am certain that they will hit together (theoretically) by looking at the equation v = u + at so no mention of weight or mass. However...
