Asking Professor for F to Passing Grade
Ya that is true, but that is quite the exaggerated outcome. Not that I approve of cheating, but it happens all the time in school and many cheaters end up fine later in life. One action like this does not define who someone is or how they treat people. Anyway, thanks for all your responses...- caljuice

Asking Professor for F to Passing Grade
Thanks, haven't heard that before but I will check it out. I know it's being childish, but I have nothing to lose, except for integrity, from trying.- caljuice

Asking Professor for F to Passing Grade
Does anyone have any advice for talking to your professor change your grade from an F to a passing grade? First, I don't feel entitled that the professor should change my grade, but it would be nice to try. It was my second time taking this electric engineering course and my only failed...- caljuice

Undergrad Finding if an integer is odd through Riemann or some function?
Ya that works, thanks guys. Sorry about the poor wording. I used that equation daily in my Fourier series class, I'm surprised I forgot about that after one summer.- caljuice

Undergrad Finding if an integer is odd through Riemann or some function?
Not what I meant but I did word this problem poorly. It's actually probably a bad and weird question anyway. I appreciate the help though For example Let's say the set of integers is from some function( not random anymore) \sum \limits_{i=1}^n A[i] (A[i]\mod{2}) is only adding odd terms but...- caljuice

Undergrad Finding if an integer is odd through Riemann or some function?
I'm trying to find if a number is odd or not, basically if X % 2 = 1. Can this be expressed through some function? Like the sum of 1 + 2 .. +n is n(n+1) /2 Or as a Riemann sum? I'm trying to add only the odd numbers from a random set of N integers to a sum.- caljuice

Probability Finding Binomial Average Problem
Sorry I meant at least one. I was a little confused on the initial wording too, but I believe it is a max of two samples.- caljuice

Probability Finding Binomial Average Problem
Homework Statement In each batch of manufactured articles, the proportion of defective articles is p. From each batch, a random sample of nine is taken and each of the nine articles is examined. If one article is found to be defective, the batch is rejected; otherwise, it is accepted. If...- caljuice

Torque Calculation for Robotic Arm
Hello, I hope I'm posting in an appropriate section. I'm trying to make a robotic arm using servos, but I'm not too sure what the max weight and lever arm length I could use. I know how to do the static torque calculations, but not too sure with the dynamic and rotational torque as the motors...- caljuice

Induced current due to rotating coil
I attached a problem from a practice exam. I'm stuck on part b). Part A, I'm assuming the answer is the standard equation for an infinite current sheet. How do I find induced current? I can only think of using Emf = NBA*ωsintωt Where Emf= I/R, but I don't have resistance. Only other equation I...- caljuice

Magnetic Field in a rectangular toroid
So to clarify, I can pick a circle as my path anywhere within the circle and make it so only the Kr=1 goes through cross section of the path. The Kz are parallel with the path so they don't go through and don't contribute. Also Kr=4 can be ignore since it's outside of my path, making only Kr=1...- caljuice

Magnetic Field in a rectangular toroid
Consider a toroidal structure with a rectangular cross-section. If the toroid is defined by the surfaces r = 1cm and r = 4cm and the planes z = 0 cm and z = 2 cm, and the surface current density on the surface defined by r = 4cm is given by -60az A/m. (a) Specify the current densities on...- caljuice
