Chemistry Understanding electronic configuration
I don't really understand this electronic configuration of a thing. Suppose I want show the electronic configuration of calcium, how do I show it? Is like this 2, 8, 8, 2 or $$1s^22s^22p^63s^23p^64s^2$$- Chijioke

Chemistry Understanding the concept of electron per shell
Looking at Cacium for th electron arrangements according to shell numbers is 2, 8,8,2 since Cacium have four shells. Going by the formula 1st shell has:$$2n^2=2\times 1^2= 2 ~electrons $$ 2nd shell has:$$2n^2=2\times 2^2= 8 ~electrons $$ 3rd shell has:$$2n^2=2\times 3^2= 18 ~electrons $$ But...- Chijioke

Needs clarity on this displacement vector diagram
The problem is actually a solved example My attention is focused in understanding the displacement vector diagram as it has to deal with question (iv). I have no problem understanding the velocity vector sketch below: As you can see ND is the velocity of the river current due East and NE is...- Chijioke

Calculating Radius & Water Depth of a Spherical Bowl
The water level in a spherical bowl has a diameter of 30 cm. If the horizontal diameter of the bowl is 10 cm below the water level, calculate the radius of the bowl and the depth of the water in the bowl. I managed to draw a diagram below: In my drawing, I am seeing the sphere ABCD as the...- Chijioke

Writing a logarithm in a form not involving logarithms
I was not asked to find the value of x and y. I was only asked to write it in a form not involving logarithm. Is writing it in a form not involving logarithm the same as finding the value of x and y or solving the equation persay?- Chijioke

Writing a logarithm in a form not involving logarithms
logyx + logxy = 3/2 Solution $$\begin{align*}\log_{ y }{ x } + \log_{ x }{ y } &= \frac{ 3 }{ 2 } \\ \log_{ x }{ y } &= \frac{ \log_{ y }{ y } }{ \log_{ y }{ x } } \\ \log_{ y }{ x } + \frac{ 1 }{ \log_{ y }{ x } } &= \frac{ 3 }{ 2 } \\ \left(\log_{ y }{ x } \right)^ { 2 } + 1 &=...- Chijioke
