Undergrad Limits of Arguments of Functions
You're dealing with limits, which do not necessarily have to do with what the function equals at a certain point, but instead focus on what the function is doing around that point. -

Undergrad If f is differentiable, is f ' continuous?
Remember though, that although the above is true, "if a function is continuous, then it is differentiable" is not necessarily true. Consider y = |x| at x = 0. -

Find the integral of: 1 /( cos(u)^(2) sin(u) )
Split it up into the addition of 2 fractions, then cancel like products. This will result in 2 fairly simple integrals.- chislam

Learning How to Learn: How Do You Self-Study?
Definitely do what others have said and get a good textbook so that you can do the problem sets, etc. But, whenever I'm self-studying, I use as many resources as possible. For example, when I taught myself Calc I, I didn't even have a textbook, but I would read several, several websites about...- chislam

Undergrad Understanding Derivatives: Real-World Application Examples
Recall the slope of a graph is the change in y / change in x. Thus, if the graph axes are feet and seconds then change in feet / change in seconds is the slope or as more colloquially known in calculus, derivative. -

Limit where l'Hopital's rule doesn't help
There is another way that you can find the limit as x goes to infinity. If you just divide each term by the highest power of x, so in this case it would simply be x (and not x^2 because it's within a square root so we treat it as being x). Then you can split the limit up between terms and you...- chislam

Using period to find the equation of a function
Think about the definition of a period of a function. Then look at an example of e.g. f(x) = sinx. The period is 2pi. So at x = 0 and x = 2pi there is something in common. What is it?- chislam
