Graduate How Can a Particle Transition Between Sides in an Infinite Potential Well?
It is well known that the wave function for a free particle in a one-dimensional infinite potential well is just a sinusodial wave with each end being a node. Let me suppose that the infinite square well is v=infinity at x=0,L and the coresponding wave function is sqrt(2/L)*sin(2*Pi/L)...- churi55

Undergrad Delta function & kronecker delta
Can anyone tell me the difference between the Delta function and the Kronecker delta? It seems that both are 1 at a certain point and 0 otherwise... The delta function is a eigenfunction of x and the Kronecker delta is ... i'm kind of confused..- churi55

Career Advice for Physics Undergraduates
I am currently on towards my undergraduate degree in Physics, with a minor in Computer Science. Besides physics and math, I enjoy working with computers, programming, and using CAS's such as Maple and Matlab. I am planning to work towards a master's degree in applied science but a PhD in...- churi55
