Solving Integration and Work Problems in 1st Year University
Hey, that's like the exact problem I am having trouble with, except my numbers are a bit different. So far this is what I have Fxnet = F(father)X - fk = 0 Fynet = N - (W+(F(father)Y) = 0 I drew a graph, I used the angle from this problem just so that I don't confuse anyone...- Freeze

Solving the Problem: Calculating the Tension in a Sagging Wire
Ok this is the problem The distance between two telephone poles is 50.5 m. When a 1.40 kg bird lands on the telephone wire midway between the poles, the wire sags 0.203 m. How much tension does the bird produce in the wire? This is what I did I divided 50.5/2 = 25.25m (to get length of...- Freeze

How can I calculate uncertainty in my data?
Ok made a silly mistake there, in all those figures given in centimeters, the decimal goes one time to the right. I accidentally divided by 100 instead of 10.- Freeze

How can I calculate uncertainty in my data?
I just did a physics lab and now I have to fill up this uncertainity data sheet. I finished the sheet but I am having doubts about some of my answers. So I am just going to state how I solved the problems, if any of you can just tell me if I did them right or wrong (if wrong, what did I do...- Freeze

What was Maggie's acceleration in a 100m race with a dead heat finish?
Oh sorry with these equations 100m - Sf = 1/2 * a * (2.10s) ^ 2 100m - Sf = 2.205A A = (100m-Sf)/2.205 I meant Sf = The distance traveled in 2.10 seconds But I just realized that even if I got the Acceleration from that, It would for after the 2.10 seconds. And I know that anyway...- Freeze

What was Maggie's acceleration in a 100m race with a dead heat finish?
Ok this is another problem I am having trouble with. In a 100 m race, Maggie and Judy cross the finish line in a dead heat, both taking 10.2 s. Accelerating uniformly, Maggie took 2.10 s and Judy 3.10 s to attain maximum speed, which they maintained for the rest of the race. What was Maggie's...- Freeze

Solve Freefall Problem: Find Water's Depth in Well
Ok I am at this problem for hours and I am still nowhere, I am just wondering if any of you can help. Here is the question A rock is dropped from rest into a well. If the sound of the splash is heard 2.42s later, how far below the top of the well is the surface of the water? (take the...- Freeze
