High CFM Fan Airfoil: Expert Guide

Hi airfoil experts, I brought two high speed fan for magnetron cooling, and upon destroying one due to my mishandling of the stuff, I found out these fan have surprising nice airfoil. See the pictures and you will understand their construction. The rotor part looks just like a normal air flow...

Medical Harmful substances released by burning plastics?

Yes, environment laws don't works here, greenhouses just keep occupying more and more space, and the problem become more and more severe. I will install air filter, but they can't probably filter light organic compounds, such as acetaldehyde. I have done some research on the topic, and found...

Medical Harmful substances released by burning plastics?

Hi, I live in a rural area in Vietnam, where people plant rose and transport them to large cities to sell. Only some of the rose (around 50% to 70%) meet the quality control and get their way to the city, while the remaining become waste and are disposed. People don't know how to dispose these...

B Effects of Cooling and Heating in a Cloud Chamber

Thanks for all replies! I will do a experiment to confirm this!

B Effects of Cooling and Heating in a Cloud Chamber

We always want the supersaturated region as large as possible, so as to improve particles visibility. That's why I asked if reserving the cold plate could help? I think the cold plate, if some mechanism were implemented to keep it at a appropriate constant temperature regardless of the heat flux...

B Effects of Cooling and Heating in a Cloud Chamber

I don't understand?? The vapor is heavier as it cooler, so the vapor closer to the cold bottom plate is cooler than the vapor layer right next to it, how could it fall down faster than when you reserve the temperature gradient?

B Effects of Cooling and Heating in a Cloud Chamber

Maybe because they want to reduce the heat flux from the hot side to the cold side when using alcohol as the vapor? So what about water, since it is lighter than air?

B Effects of Cooling and Heating in a Cloud Chamber

Good day everybody! As we have already known the structure and operation of the cloud chamber, can someone explain to me why the cooling is done at the bottom of the chamber and the heating at the top, but not vise versa?? How this affect the function of the cloud chamber?

B Rayleigh Interferometer: Impact of Slip Placement on Interference Pattern

Sorry everbody, I almost forget the thread! If the slits are large relative to light wavelength (sorry it's not slips) are to eliminate the off axis beam then yes the interference will be the same, but if the slips is small then what will happen? I guess if the slits are placed in front of the...

B Rayleigh Interferometer: Impact of Slip Placement on Interference Pattern

What will change if we place the slips in front of the converging lens instead of behind the collimating lens? My teacher say nothing will change in the interference pattern but I doubt his answer.

How Does Radioactive Decay Affect Current in a Spherical Capacitor Circuit?

Sorry for reviving my old thread. If I use the hint, I will get 65GΩ as the answer, but the book states 105GΩ is the answer?? Something went wrong??

How Does Radioactive Decay Affect Current in a Spherical Capacitor Circuit?

Actually I want to solve generalized solution, so that I could take limits to get the answer. If you simplify ##\frac {U} {E}≈0## or ##2arccos(sqrt(\frac {U} {E}))≈π##, the exponential component of ##exp(-\frac {tln(2)} {T})≈1## and ##exp(-\frac {t} {RC})≈0## for t in the range of minutes, then...

How Does Radioactive Decay Affect Current in a Spherical Capacitor Circuit?

Homework Statement A Metallic sphere with radius r=10cm is surrounded by a spherical metallic shell of radius 2r=20cm. The space exist between the two is vacuum. An amount of k=0.01 mol of radioactive 242Cm is strayed uniformly on the sphere, the radioactive isotope emit alpha particles which...

Calculating Velocity Change in a Moving Charge-Magnet Interaction

I solved it yesterday, but had to sleep and take class. The key information is that energy is conserved in the magnet frame, so a little trigonometry will do the job: $$Vc^2+V^2+2Vc*V*cos(180-45)=Vo^2+V^2+2Vo*V*cos(180-120)$$, solve it for V we will get the answer $$V=19.55m/s$$ Thanks a lot for...

Calculating Velocity Change in a Moving Charge-Magnet Interaction

Yes, momentum is not conserved, what i mean with post #1 and #3 is that we can consider the interaction between the particles as an elastic collision, imagine a mass with velocity v collide with a moving wall with velocity u, the wall will just be moving on with u and the ball would return with...
