    What is the largest size and weight an animal can be?

    That article doesn't answer my question and neither did any of my other searches which I why I posted on here. I'm looking for an answer that works out what the upper limit might be for a land based animal and a sea based animal.

    What is the largest size and weight an animal can be?

    Due to the square cube law there is a limit to how large an animal can be. I believe sea animals are capable of being much larger than land animals because the water supports their weight but what is the theoretical limit to how large a land animal can be and a sea animal? Excluding food...

    Ice Cube Melting Time: 1 vs 4/Hundreds

    Hello, If I had 1 ice cube and 4 smaller ice cubes each 1/4 smaller than the first ice cube, would they melt at the same speed assuming both are tested under the same conditions? Another way to put it would be if I had a 1 ton ice cube and hundreds of smaller ice cubes equalling 1 ton in...

    Undergrad Understanding "Hat e" Notation

    Ah right, so it's cross product not dot product? And what is the name of this definition or the name of this generalisation because looking on the wiki page I cannot see this format anywhere.

    Undergrad Understanding "Hat e" Notation

    Can someone tell me what this notation is \hat e =\frac{\overrightarrow{u}\cdot \overrightarrow{v}}{|| \overrightarrow{u}\cdot \overrightarrow{v}||} = -\frac{\overrightarrow{v}\cdot \overrightarrow{u}}{|| \overrightarrow{u} \cdot \overrightarrow{v}||} I saw it here...

    Air conditioning unit with slightly open window

    I'll look into getting some foam and trying to block the window opening then. I really only wanted to know if the AC would still work to some degree with a slightly open window. Cheers for the tips.

    Air conditioning unit with slightly open window

    I said I'll look into the window mounted one... I just wanted to make it clear that my windows are not going to be wide open letting all the air out and was just making sure you knew the window would only be open a tiny bit.

    Air conditioning unit with slightly open window

    Even if the window is open just a little way? I live in an apartment so I'll have to check out the window mounted ones but I was hoping for a portable AC unit. I'll give it some thought, thanks.

    Air conditioning unit with slightly open window

    Hi all, I want to buy an air conditioning unit while they're cheap and I know you're not meant to have any windows open. I have strange windows so cannot use the fishnet attachment, long story short, if I hang the hose out of the window and just try to close the window as much as possible, will...

    High School Is distance continuous or "pixel" like?

    Thanks for your replies. So Planck length is, as far as we can work out, the smallest unit of measure with regards to objects but not space? Space could well be infinitely divisible, unlike matter.
