Forces & Friction: Acceleration & Coefficient of Friction
Homework Statement A 1 kg box begins at rest and a hand applies a constant force of 2N along a 2 meter board. The first meter is frictionless, but the second meter has friction that makes the box come to a stop. Time is not give. Coefficient of friction is not given. My question is, is...- joeG215

Medical What are the chances I'll inherit schizophrenia from my father?
Having it actually manifest when you're 12 is pretty rare. Common age is between 16-25 for men. My suggestion is to be well-informed(tons of info out there, even though not a whole lot it known) and talk to counselors that specialize in that same question you are asking. Other than that...- joeG215

Schools Is grad school a possibility for me?
I know that all my grades are going to stay in my records but I'm hoping that they look at the academic maturity as you say. That along with some research experience and I should have a fighting chance.- joeG215

Schools Is grad school a possibility for me?
Sorry i was somewhat unclear about that. I would have 60 credits with a 0.00. Straight A's from now till BS would give me a 4.0, but I have that big stain on my record. That's what I'm worried about.- joeG215

Schools Is grad school a possibility for me?
My first two years of attending the university i basically flunked out. I was in a bad personal situation that just messed me up. I shouldn't have been going to school at all. But, I did. I had may be a .75 gpa or something. Needless to say, I was academically dismissed from the school...- joeG215

Engineering Biomed Engineering or Biology/Psych
I appreciate the feedback Ben. Yes, I've e-mailed various personnel within the field this weekend, and plan to visit a couple of professors at the university I am attending in the coming week. Nothing beats a decision like an informed one. Hopefully by then I'll be able to step back and jump...- joeG215

Engineering Biomed Engineering or Biology/Psych
Thanks for the input Ben. I understand your point on BME. The reason I had that particular program even as an option was because it just about satisfies most pre-med programs (which i was viewing as a viable option at the time). Ive only taken the lower undergrad courses in math and physics...- joeG215

Engineering Biomed Engineering or Biology/Psych
I was just wondering which path might lead to a better shot at being admitted in grad school for Cognitive Neuroscience assuming i have a high gpa and do research etc... I am considering a major in Biomedical Engineering or Biology w/ minor in Psych. I'm open to feedback and other suggestions.- joeG215
