Undergrad How does spin relate to the symmetry of a particle?
Why are particle with half integer spins anti-symmetric while integer spin particles are symmetric? Or in other words, how does spin relate to the symmetry of indentical particles?- kregg87

Proving That Any Vector in a Vector Space V Can Be Written as a Linear Combination of a Basis Set
Homework Statement Show that any vector in a vector space V can be written as a linear combination of a basis set for that same space V. Homework Equations http://linear.ups.edu/html/section-VS.html We are suppose to use the 10 rules in the above link, plus the fact that if you have a lineraly...- kregg87

Finding the frequency of a vibrating particle on a string?
That would make more sense... I was only thinking of the component of T parallel to the particles displacement. Thanks!- kregg87

Finding the frequency of a vibrating particle on a string?
Homework Statement A particle of mass m is on a massless string of length 3a, which is held horizontally across with a tension T(which you can assume doesn't change with the small vibrations). The particle is a distance of a from one of the edges. Set up a diff. equation that describes the...- kregg87
