Should I Take Calculus 3 and Differential Equations at Once?
I'm in cal 2 right now, got an A in cal 1. IMO its tricky while youre learning it, but when you look back on it everything is extremely derivative. Math is cumulative, most everything you do gets built upon. And the further you go the more accurate your calculations. Also, be prepared to spend a...- Larsani

High School The velocity of photon in media
That would be the sine of the angle wouldn't it? Or more specifically v_{2} = \frac{v_{1}sinθ_{2}}{sinθ_{1}} -

High School The velocity of photon in media
I would assume that would depend on the media. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I remember reading something about the speed of light through a bose-einstein condensate being on the order of 17m/s, maybe 21m/s. Either way, very slow. Glass, water, plastic I'm sure all have slightly different... -

Graduate Does Time Exist? Science Explains 4 Dimensions & Timelines
Nah, not really. But think about it. Is there a time other than now? You can record what has happened at a previous time, or predict what might happen at a future time. But all that happens now. You can't observe the future. And to observe the past you need either a telescope or a recording...- Larsani

Graduate Does Time Exist? Science Explains 4 Dimensions & Timelines
There is no past, there is no future, there is only now. Now flows like a river, at different rates depending on how much water there is, the grade of the land, and other variables. Matter and Speed warp space time in a way that alters the water flowing through the river of time. But to someone...- Larsani

Solving a Tricky Calculus Equation: 24 = 10(ex/20 + e-x/20)
Thanks Mark! I had tried multiplying by e^x/20 and using the quadratic forumula but I guess I didn't do it right the first time. Checked the trash can: I made a calculator error and didnt notice it. Hate it when I do something right and then make a little mistake that makes me think I am not...- Larsani

Solving a Tricky Calculus Equation: 24 = 10(ex/20 + e-x/20)
I'm reviewing for calculus and I've been stuck on this problem for a couple days. Can't seem to figure it out. I keep coming up with ln2.4 = x - x which is just silly, or x = √(400ln2.4) ≈ 18.7. I know the answer is x ≈ 12.5. But I can't figure out the correct process. Homework Statement...- Larsani
