Mapping computer state changes as a space.
I excluded the abstraction process. For very small functions you can map it's space. The process described is effectively path independent. If you know the start and end points and can parameterise it as a function of the localised change you can then ignore the space in between and consider...- lostminty

Mapping computer state changes as a space.
I want to see if we can map the space that is computable programs. You wouldn't consider complex problems, once you mapped the simplest problems into a space of points you can get a distribution. You may see that these clump. Seeing as several of the variables are proportional to the history of...- lostminty

Looking for a critique: reactive black body radiation device
It's a blackbody radiation heat exchanger that controls the radiation exchange through a central focus. It is definitely a cooling system and maybe a heating one. Either way it collects radiation from outerspace and modulates it to the level of radiation expelled by an enclosed volume.- lostminty

Looking for a critique: reactive black body radiation device
I want to get a half convex lens (thick in the middle, flat on one side). And coat it in thermally and optically reactive transition filters. They are to be segmented so to reduce spread of filtering. This will give a view of the sky with any bright light inhibited at the focus. Next to the...- lostminty

Graduate Sky temperature profiles and black body radiation
I want to know, excluding the sun with an appropriate boundary, whether it is possible for the balance of bbr to be positive for outerspace rather than on earth? I am thinking of a half convex with an active polariser across-the outer surface which allows through most radiation below the...- lostminty

Water/land detection/differentiation from a quadcopter
Good point. To which I cannot get an exact answer. They do not mention it. Many of the fishfinders pair via bluetooth. Some of them you have to manually set their depth so that it improves the quality of image.- lostminty

Water/land detection/differentiation from a quadcopter
The idea is to suspend a fish finder below it, you can currently get castable fish finders. Then drag it across the beach head and get a rough idea of where the fish are. There will be a issues with drift of the buoy, it would be quite convoluted to get the drone to compensate for this with...- lostminty

Water/land detection/differentiation from a quadcopter
Hello, I want to have a quadcopter drone type set up which can tell how far from land it is. I would go for GPS but I want it to take into consideration the tide, and in general I'm only talking a distance of 50-200m (within shore fishing distance). The ideal system would be a drone that can...- lostminty

Advice on building a radio transmitter in the Radio Control band
I'll have to understand your reply, thank you for asking the questions. Bandwidth. I gather this refers to use of the channel? I can intermittently use the channel, using the RF charging when needed. From what I read it, fair use is important, but not enforced. The actual devices will not be...- lostminty

Advice on building a radio transmitter in the Radio Control band
<< Mentor Note -- post separated out of a different thread to deal with a separate question >> Hi, I am looking transmit as well as receive power within close proximity. Currently I am looking at 27.255 MHz AM in the citizens band. It is listed on Wikipedia and in statues I found to be for...- lostminty

Where would you buy carbon nanotubes?
Wouldn't have to be long ones. Cheap and cheerful amounts. A google search brought up one called cheaptubes.com, anyone had experience with them?- lostminty

Could one use a capacitor to enhance a capacitive stylus?
What I want to do is have a mono pole capacitor so that the tip size can be reduced. I'm probably concepting it wrong though to think that would work. Essentially it would be static electricity on a stick.- lostminty
