What do you guy's think about Larson's text for Calc? I had been using Stewart's for Calc I & II, but now I'm at a different college using Larson's. I think I prefer Stewart's.

At my school abstract algebra is one of the hardest math courses, besides real analysis, of course. I suppose if you are good at proofs, you should be fine. I really don't see how Calc III and Abs. Alg. have anything in common.

sleep is important. the mind organizes and reviews everything you've learned or observed during the day. I've always found that if I'm stuck on a math problem at night and go to bed, i wake up with a new idea on how to solve it. i think 4 hours is a enough though.

Well shouldn't it depend on which gpa we are talking about? Let's say someone's cumulative GPA was a 3.0, but their math or physics major GPA was a 4.0. Wouldn't the major GPA be of more importance?

Have any of you heard of this online Linear Algebra course offered at BYU? Has anyone here taken it? I believe it's called Math 343 - Elementary Linear Algebra. I'm thinking about it taking it alongside my other classes next semester.
