What Does K Equal in the Equation 0.571 = 1-k/(1-0.647k)?
Homework Statement If 0.571 = 1-k/1-0.647k What does K equal? (ans K = 0.681) 2. The attempt at a solution I have tried moving getting K on its own with no luck, I think I need to solve for K using simultaneous equations, but don't know where to start- marcoskids

Determinging Acceleration and Distance
Need to find acceleration first and then plug its value into the correct equation that you stated. a = (v-u)/t = (444-0)/1.8 = 247m/s^2 d = vi+1/2*at2 = 0 + 1/2*247*1.8^2 = 400m- marcoskids

Calculate the pressure of the following mixture.
New approach does this look better? Pwoc = (rhoWgh ) + (rhoOgh) = (1000*9.8*(12000*0.305)) + (800*9.8*(12000*0.305) = 64.6 Mpa Pgoc = (rhoG gh) + (rhoO gh) = ((120*9.8*((12000-800)*0.305))) + (800*9.8*((12000-800)*0.305))) = 30.8 Mpa P12500 = (rhoW...- marcoskids

Physical property measured in seimic surveys?
Does anyone know what the physical property measured in seismic surveys is? Seismic surveys used in searching for hydrocarbons to be more specific. I was thinking it would be the rocks density but I'm not sure, can anyone help please? :)- marcoskids
