Undergrad How to measure and calculate drift of falling object in air
I was wondering how to calculate the drift of an object that is falling though air. If I know the mass, air density, and velocity of an object that is falling how can I calculate its movement off the center of he drop point. I.E if you looking down on a grid with x and y on the side how many x... -

Graduate The shock required to detonate C4
The only way I know of how to blow up C4 is though a blasting cap. You can hook up and electrical switch t the blasting cap to set the blasting cap off then the C4. I would say the min would be what the blasting cap can do, C4 is extreamly stable you can even set it on fire and stomp on it with...- MegaMan64

Undergrad Calculating Gas Density at Altitude: Simple Equation for Terminal Velocity
Hi I have been reading a lot about how to calculate gas density and I am stumped. What I would like to know is how to calculate the gas density as apposed to altitude so I can use it in the terminal velocity equation found here http://www.grc.nasa.gov/WWW/k-12/airplane/termv.html I would like...- MegaMan64

High School How to Calculate Total Mass of a Person with Additional Gear?
What I have now if the mass of a human found by this m = density x velocity which is 189.16lb or 85.79 kg for about 175lb person. density = 1010 kg/m3 volume = 3ft^3 but then I thought that this guy will have about 200 extra lbs of wight and a parachute along with that. How should I go...
