Another Question - Thermal Energy & Sweat this time
Homework Statement If 630W is dissipated as thermal energy/heat how much liquid is lost from the body? The Attempt at a Solution I have got through a 3 part problem (re: energy, work etc) and found how much energy is dissipated as heat (630W), but I have no info that leads me to...- miava

Energy/Work/Efficiency/Metabolic Rate Question
Ok, so is the 700w per hour?? If so that would mean 70 watts going into work; 1.167 per minute; 23.33w of power for the 20 minutes. Is that correct?- miava

Energy/Work/Efficiency/Metabolic Rate Question
Homework Statement A friend is doing a work out in a gym. Suppose the efficiency for the activities in the work out is 10% and the metabolic rate is 700w, how much physical work would she have done in 20 minutes? The Attempt at a Solution I have no idea how to start this question...- miava

Buoyancy Formula (Fb, mdg, T etc)
Once we have the equation we have to use the T, Md and W measurements to find the buoyant force and volume of water displaced. My equation is Fb = Mdg Does the tension force upward and the 30g weight downward cancel out? I have the mass as 0.07kg and volume of water displaced 1x10-4...- miava

Buoyancy Formula (Fb, mdg, T etc)
Homework Statement Hi Everyone! I'm new to this forum and a beginner at physics so I hope to get some help! :-) I am doing a report for a lab we did a few weeks ago, and it happens to be one where I was feeling awful and obviously not paying enough attention! We were using a rubber...- miava
