Equation/mathematical model to a fitted line

I was going to use 'R' to put the data in (exporting from excel). Ok that's helpful so non linear regression! I was just worried that it wasn't going to be a simple curve and so I knew I'd need some other way to make a formula. I still havnt finished collecting my data so I have plently of time...

Equation/mathematical model to a fitted line

Hmm yea but that might be oversimplifying the beginning trend, if I had curves such as these http://www.aanda.org/index.php?option=com_image&format=raw&url=/articles/aa/full_html/2010/07/aa13994-10/img44.png or...

Equation/mathematical model to a fitted line

But would that be able to make a model for data which starts of linear and then turns exponential? if so great!

Help with a Beam Equation and Drawings

If you could describe the beam is it an I beam? rectangular? you should sketch the details on a page and scan it and email it to me. I can then send you the solution. I could sort this whole problem out if you give me that. I presume if its a steel s275 beam yea? I can tell you already...
