Explore SMOT - Free Energy Possibilities & Unanswered Questions

Have you ever heard of SMOT? There is a website saying about free energy. http://jnaudin.free.fr/html/smotidx.htm What's your opinion? Why the author haven't succeeded to create a cycle?

How do you think the world will end

I guess that the most of the Earth would be a toxic and a radioactive desert. Ocean waters would be much higher than they are today. People would live cramped up in cities. Food and water would be pretty expensive. It would not be much different to live on Mars. Humans will extinct in a...

What Are the Hottest Research Areas for a PhD in Physics?

My opinion is... There might be a global war, when energy crisis reaches its peak. Iraq was just the beginning. Therefore knowledge of nuclear fusion technology might have value of gold. Nanotechnology is a production process of the future. Proprietors of big production companies will pay...

How many primary sources of energy do we have?

I see. Every particle heavier than hydrogen is a product of a nuclear fusion of a star, which existed before our Sun. The heaviest particles were created during that explosion. So, I could say that there is the only one primary source of energy – nuclear fusion.

How many primary sources of energy do we have?

I think we have 3 primary sources on the Earth. 1st – Sun (nuclear fusion) Coal, oil, water dam – it would not exist without the Sun 2nd – Earth (nuclear fission) Hot geysers 3rd – Moon (gravitational force) When it moves ocean waters Anything else is just a secondary energy...

    Fusion a suicidal power source?

Jupiter and Saturn consist of hydrogen. I believe it is not going to be a problem to extract it even from those places in the year 3000. An interesting question is: how much energy we get by fusing those planets?

    Superconductivity and magnetic fields

I suggest this conclusion: A wire doesn’t lose its magnetic field produced by a current when it reaches a superconductive state. However, this superconductor excludes all external magnetic fields. If we use magnetic fields, which exceed a critical value, then we lose superconductivity. Of...

    Superconductivity and magnetic fields

I am sorry. I meant to write: “Do they lose energy because of that field?” I wanted to know whether magnetic field being emitted by a current in the wire inhibits this wire to reach a superconductive state. Thank you all for your answers. Miro

    Superconductivity and magnetic fields

Hello. Do some materials have a magnetic field when electricity runs through them and they are in the superconductive state? Do they lose energy because of that field? Thank you. Miro

    Gravitational catapult and a spacecraft

Hello. "Another notable thing is that Pioneer 10 used the gravitational catapulting effect of Jupiter. That was the first time that was ever done for interplanetary light. Pioneer 11 followed in its footsteps about seven years later to go out of the solar system." That text was taken from...
