Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Its not possible that you could run and jump into the walls to move the spaceship as you will first have to overcome the inertia of the spaceship.

I think that there is a high and low tide because the moon revolves around the Earth in an ellipse thus there are 2 points that are close to Earth and 2 points that are far from earth... when the moon revolves till the closer points, there is a high tide, when it moves further from the 2 close...
