Undergrad Measurement of the mean value of the number of photons?
thank you for the information about dead time. For all I know, the light source is pulse laser source, with wave length 808 nm, which the repetition rate can be varied from 5 MHZ- 80 MHZ.- Pattarasak

Undergrad Measurement of the mean value of the number of photons?
No, there are not other labs that have a good power meter. Can we neglect a dead time of the detector by writing a module to detect only the correct pulse?- Pattarasak

Undergrad Measurement of the mean value of the number of photons?
Hi everyone, I do experiment in field of quantum optics and I want to calculate the mean of the number of photons (MNP). In the most of papers, MNP can be calculated by using average power which is measured by power meter. But my power meter is defective. For now, I have only the avalanche...- Pattarasak

Graduate When I analyze elliptical polarization using a linear polarizer....
thank for yours answer. But the actually thing that i want to do is experiment to construct the arbitrary elliptical polarization in matrix form e.g. : [1 , 1+.021354i ]. So, i want to know the phase of this polarization (exp[i theta]) then i use the linear polarizer to analyze this...- Pattarasak

Graduate When I analyze elliptical polarization using a linear polarizer....
hello everyone,I want to construct the elliptical polarization in Jones's Matrix form . So, I use the linear polarizer to analyze this polarization. where the Intensity ,which obtain by using the linear polarizer, come from? by integrating overall angle or the other way ?- Pattarasak

Undergrad How to create the operator of unknown beamsplitter
Hello everyone, I'm undergraduate and my project is an experiment in the field of quantum optics. For now, I have an Unknown beamsplitter in my lab and I want to calculate the operator of this beamsplitter in matrix form (this BS is not perfected equipment because the reflected beam is not...- Pattarasak

Undergrad How to calculate the photons/pulse of Laser diode?
Sorry about the Unclear question, I have only the data about average power of laser diode but have no idea to calculate the photon number per pulse in the experiment. Can you guide me about some paper or book that I can learn about it?- Pattarasak

Undergrad How to calculate the photons/pulse of Laser diode?
Hello everyone, I'm an Undergrad and I'm trying to set the Quantum key distribution experiment by using weak laser pulses(the laser diode with attenuated filter). but I don't know how to calculate the photon number per pulse. Can anyone tell me how to calculate the photon number per pulse...- Pattarasak
