Mixing air how much water leaving?
Thanks for the reply. Here is the cooling processes into the diagram, A-B and A-C. If you look at the two processes, will they produce the same amount of condense?- peet_dk

Mixing air how much water leaving?
I have a situation like this: Where C is a air stream from a pipe, and A is the sky. Droplet will be made, and there will be fog. Now I have to calculate the amount of water leaving the air. In my book I found this equation: Qwater = Qdry.air.C * (xA - xC) But do it have to be...- peet_dk

Truss stress compressive/tensile stress
Hi I have found out which truss member that have compressive stress, and which have tensile. Now I have to select the metal for each member, I know how to find it when it is simple tensile stress (Sigma=Force/Area) But I think there is another equation when it is compressive stress, or...- peet_dk

Heat transfer inside a cylinder with flowing water
Hello Please see the attached illustration, hope it gives a idea of what is going on. If I do not include radiation and the cylinder is infinite thin, how can I calculate this situation: (1) The water flow is constant inlet=outlet and steady state flow. (2) First there is not a heat source in...- peet_dk

Local stress on thin cylindrical shell
Hello I have a local stress acting radial on a thin cylindrical plate (see illustration), how can I calculate if the plate will deform/bend? I can only find equations for uniform external pressure (Marcel Dekker), but will it be okay when the stress is only local?- peet_dk

Buckling of columns - displacement distance?
Hello I have a question, I haven't got my books with me.. So hope you can help me.. I have a crane system like this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/559096/column.jpg If the column have the boundary: Fixed-Free. Is there a easy way to calculate the maximum displacement? (in the top)- peet_dk
