How Do You Determine the Period of a Non-SHM System Using Energy Equations?
If E=U+K E=((U0x^K+1)/a^k+1)+0.5(m)(dx/dt)^2 rearrange dx/dt=(2/m(E-U0x^K+1)/a^k+1))^0.5 is this the right way about, I am not sure how to do this integral.- Physicist_FTW

How Do You Determine the Period of a Non-SHM System Using Energy Equations?
its a SHM probelm, well i tried -dU/dx=F(x) F(x)=m(d^2x/dt^2) then i think I am meant to guess a value for x(t) but I am not really sure/- Physicist_FTW

How Do You Determine the Period of a Non-SHM System Using Energy Equations?
[b]1. U(x)=U0(x/a)^1000000 Find the period for a mass m, if it has total energy E [b]2. E=U+K [b]3. dE/dt=0=v[mdv/dt+dU/dx] I am really stuck on this one, I am not sure what to do at all talked to my proffessor he says just to re-read the chapter but if I am honest I've always...- Physicist_FTW

Series Expansion: Finding Limit x→0 of 1/(Sin^2(x))-1/x^2
use series expansion to fine the limit as x--->0 of 1/(sin^2)(x) - 1/x^2 Sin^2(x)=(X-X^3/3!)^2 I've assumed this gave me Sin^2(x)=X^2-2X^4/6+X^6/36 flip this over is that equivalent to 1/Sin^2(x)?- Physicist_FTW

Modified Amperes law, maxwells equations
Using the following identity curl(curl(B))=Grad(Div(B)-Grad^2(B) with maxwells equations in differential form in the absences of sources show that magnetic field obeys the wave equation Grad^2(B)- (1/(C^2))(d^2(B)/dt^2) [b]2. The main probelm is I'm not sure what form of B i should use, i...- Physicist_FTW

Time Independent Schrodinger Equation Question
[b]1. State the one dimensional time - independent Schrödinger equation for a particle of mass m and total energy E in a potential V(x). For an infinite square potential well V(x)=0 (0<x<l) and V(x) = infinite (all other x) find a general solutionfor the wavefunction of this function of this...- Physicist_FTW
