High School What is the true meaning of the Big Bang?
Thanks for replying and rectifying my mistake. But then also, universe was hot dense and then it expanded. I think the concept of putting infinity wherever we cannot explain things is wrong. We say visible universe is expanding but then, in what is it expanding.- Pyrus

High School What is the true meaning of the Big Bang?
We say that in big bang, a highly dense point like structure exploded and expanded. In what did it expand? If so, universe and space would be different entities. Please elaborate.- Pyrus

Undergrad What is the basic concept of the spin of a particle
What is the basic concept which decides the spin of a particle. Like, electron has a spin of +- 1/2... What do this 1/2 signifies. Other spins are also there like 1 and 2. What do they signify? Is there any possibility of any particle with spin other than 1/2, 1 or 2?- Pyrus

Undergrad Quantum Physicists Examine Orch Theory and Consciousness
Orch theory explains consiousness of human brain as a quantum related phenomenon. These quantum processes occur in microtubules. But at this temperature quantum computation is not possible. So what is the perspective of quantum physicists on this theory.- Pyrus

How does Angelman's syndrome trigger laughter?
We all know that do to microdeletion of maternal chromosome 15, Angelman syndrome occurs. But what is the reason that people with this syndrome trigger sudden laughter for long time. This means that there is genetic relation between laughter and genes on 15th chromosome.- Pyrus

Two concentric conducting spherical shells, find outer Q
I tried this by using E=V/r. I found potential at point at distance 4.1 m. V=Er => V=20900 V Then applying V= 1/(4πε) * {q/4.1 + Q/4.1} V=(9*10^9 )[-5.3/4.1 + Q/4.1]*10^-6 Solving it I also got answer 96.6μC- Pyrus

Calculating Thrust on Curved Surface of Cylindrical Vessel
Homework Statement A large cylindrical vessel contains water to a height of 10 m. It is found that the thrust acting on the curved surface is equal to that at the bottom. If atmospheric pressure can support a water column of 10 m, the radius of the vessel is:- (a) 10 m (b) 15m (c) 5 m (d) 25 m...- Pyrus
