A Papers on Splitting single particles

That's the point in my argument. Broglie interpretation says neutron 100 % in one point/channel, Copenhagen -full electron 50% here and full electron 50% there, whenever these experiments point 1/2 neutron here and 2/3 there. Is this not totally different?

A Papers on Splitting single particles

In QM/QFT a particle is pointlike (almost) not physically distributed. Distributed is only the wavefunction and it has interpretations. The fact that neutron is distributed in these experiments is experimental but results are received through weak measurements (introduced by Lev Vaidman) not...

A Papers on Splitting single particles

Dear group members, Can you express your opinion on the following recent (2023) articles insisting that single particles are split in parts in double slit and in Mach -Zehnder interferometer. Is this splitting compatible with QM/QFT? Parts of the abstracts are included here. The full articles...

A How does QFT treat Young’s Double-Slit Experiment?

Really? DSE was evidence for corposcular+wavelike nature of light which promped de Broglie to introduce material waves. Feynman said that the only mistery of QM is the DSE. It WAS until the single photon DSE. Maxwell EM theory is as right as Newton Mechanics. We know that they are just very...

A How does QFT treat Young’s Double-Slit Experiment?

No just are usual qft stuff which i passed many years before. The point is they not mention DSE at all. De Broglie published his thesis in 1924. What is the right interpretation of QM now? Do you think Copenhagen version is ultimate? Why then do people offer more interpretations?

A How does QFT treat Young’s Double-Slit Experiment?

My post suggests that i am well acknowledged with QFT (also Lancester et al is not for not gifted gifted or even genious amateurs, just maybe for very good mathematicians but i doubt they do and need physics). Regretful QFT is more math construction with few physical constrains. I dont...

A How does QFT treat Young’s Double-Slit Experiment?

Thanks for reply Nugatory. Why do want me to read Gifted Amateur? Because of modes or because of DSE. As is obvious by my question i know about modes. In k space. So - instantaneous whole space occupying vacuum states of 1/2 hv which are on the brink of reality (Casimir) Existing from start of...

A How does QFT treat Young’s Double-Slit Experiment?

How does QFT treat the Young’s DSE? Is there a wave function (wave packet) attached (and created at the moment of launching of the photon) or the modes of the EM quantum field are pre-existing due to experimental configuration (including the screen) and do they play the role the wave function is...

I Poisson spot with single photons

Thank you about that physical argument. And what about billion of sources? Does a photon come from billion sources? (Easy to be distinguish on time scale in principle) Can you also explain the immediate spreading of Fock states through the whole space? Photons can be very well localized at the...

I Poisson spot with single photons

Where did I say Fock states are real? No, the text Nugatory send me says this.

I Poisson spot with single photons

Please read my post in its entirety. Do not put sentences out of context. What I'm saying is that Fock states are not real physical beings but mathematical constructs. Very obvious is this also in this example. Let a light that one sees is generated, by at least two atoms. According Fourier...

I Poisson spot with single photons

Are the quantum fields not the only underlying reality? Reference David Tong b.e. and anything in QFT. Of course when QFT fields are real, then quantized by Fock states it it close to mind that Fock states are what is real. And they are named photons. Ref. your text. P.S. The Fock states (fixed...

I Poisson spot with single photons

Maybe you are right. The Fock states are called photons for QED just as a name. They don't say that they exist. Just the real photons (perceived in detectors and emitted from atoms) are 'made' by Fock states e.g. QED photons. This terminology is very misleading. I don't see anywhere in the text...

I Could Quantum Dots Between Optic Fibers Create Photon Interference?

Thank you. This is it exactly. I didn't read it yet. I suppose the radiation is suppressed as in cavity?

I Poisson spot with single photons

Yes but there is QED where the real photons are presented as superpositions of unphysical Fock (number) states. As far as I remember Fock himself pointed that out.
