Hiesenberg uncertainty principle, h or hbar?

so if I'm understanding correctly, if you use standard deviation, it's always hbar/2, but if you use other measures of spread then it could be different?

Hiesenberg uncertainty principle, h or hbar?

i've seen both: ΔxΔp >= h/2 and ΔxΔp >= hbar/ 2 used, and I'm not sure which is correct. my physics textbook uses h/2, but wiki and other online rescources seem to use hbar/2 do they apply to different situations? (if so, where do you use hbar and where do you use h?) or is one...

Fnet>10.5What causes the block to not initially move up or down the incline?

i know that, but it still wasn't working. EDIT: turns out the question in the paper was wrong, it DOES move.

Fnet>10.5What causes the block to not initially move up or down the incline?

the tension is in the opposite direction of mgsinθ though, tension is in the same direction as the friction would be.

Physics problem about Earths rotation after 45 centuries

the few mistakes i can see are that you might want to use 365.25 days in a year instead of 365, and also you should do your time in seconds divided by 3600 not 60 (60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour) so if your time in seconds was right, you would do...

Fnet>10.5What causes the block to not initially move up or down the incline?

Homework Statement A block of mass 30 kg rests 12 m from the bottom of an inclined plane that is at an angle of 60 to the horizontal. It is connected by a rope of negligible mass via a frictionless pulley to a bucket of mass 5 kg of water, hanging vertically as shown in Fig. Q3. The static...
