Calculate the new angular velocity of the disc
1. Tim of a mass of 50 kg is standing on a large spinning disc of a mass of 80kg and a diameter of 5m. Tim standing at the edge of the disc which is rotating at 25 rad/s. He then walks to the center of the disc. Calculate the new angular velocity of the disc. 2. IW=I'W' IdiskWdisk + ImitchWmitch...- rawimpact

Calculate Flow Velocity and Hole Diameter in Water Tank Problem
1. A large tank isopen to the atmosphere and is filled with water. A small hole is 16m below the surface of the water. If the flow rate of the water is out of the hole is 2.5e^3 m^3/min, calculate: a)the velocity of the water as it leaves the hole and b) the diameter of the hole. 2. Let's say...- rawimpact

Car crash: Can it be an elastic collision?
Yeah, impossible to have elastic collision. Elastic collision = bad because KE is conserved and we would be bouncing back pretty fast! That's why car manufacturers have crush zones to help reduce KE into other forms of energy including heat.- rawimpact
