How to turn these symmetric equations into the general form?
Ooo right. Damn, I forgot a lot from linear. Literally not a plane with only 1 parameter. Ok thanks- Regtic

How to turn these symmetric equations into the general form?
Why can't you do it my way? I know it works, I've done it on other problems. My teacher's done it like that before too.- Regtic

How to turn these symmetric equations into the general form?
I was solving this problem and I didn't want to do it the really long way by finding the equation of B(t) by first finding T(t) and N(t). So i took the cross product of r' and r'' so that they would be in the direction of B. Found the parametric equation of the plane but the book answer was in...- Regtic

Anxiety and Uncertainty about Pursuing Undergrad in Physics
I'm going to take a look at the book after this semester. I've had a bit of success lately by trying exactly that, getting out of my comfort zone. I was always trying to just think of ways in which I could change the way I think about a given social scenario to change the way I react and "cure"...- Regtic

Anxiety and Uncertainty about Pursuing Undergrad in Physics
Because I'm sure McGill undergrads who are more educated than me and have actual contact with the professors and are involved with the school who must be competing for these opportunities have a much greater chance at grabbing those internships than I do. I'm not an undergrad yet.- Regtic

Anxiety and Uncertainty about Pursuing Undergrad in Physics
[FONT=Times New Roman]So for a little background, I'm an INTJ according to the Myers-brigs test and people often tell me I have an analytical mind. I'm not a genius or anything but I do above average in physics and math. I think it's mostly because I enjoy and engage more with the material than...- Regtic

What would crack easier? An iPhone 6 or an iPad air?
But if there's a screen protector on it, would the shockwave dissipate easier in the iPad air since there's more surface area? They're meant to absorb most of the impact.- Regtic

High School Which is harder to crack: a smaller or larger screen?
Is it harder to crack a smaller screen or a larger screen? Why? For example, if I hit an iPhone with a hammer, would it break more or less than if I did the same to an iPad? Would it change which is more safe if I put a screen protector on? The force would be the same in both cases but it... -

How Can I Find a Physics-Related Summer Internship Without a Degree?
I'm looking for a summer internship but I don't really know what to expect. I don't have a degree, I'm still finishing my D.E.C (2 year science program in Quebec that comes inbetween grade 11 and uni) and I probably have the knowledge equivalent of a 1-2 semester-in undergraduate in the US. I'm...- Regtic

Undergrad Point Normal Equation Question
This was the closest answer to the question I was really asking. Bhillyard you made a very interesting point that didn't occur to me though, about how the constant is the identifying coordinate of a specific line among an infinite amount of parallel lines. I'm downloading a 3d graphing program...- Regtic

Undergrad Point Normal Equation Question
##ax +by +cz +d = 0## is the equation of a plane orthogonal to ##(a,b,c)## but why is there a d in the equation? What does it do to the plane geometrically? http://i.imgur.com/sMiLhHc.jpg?1 I don't see how the d fits into that geometric interpretation.- Regtic
