Does stopping a very fast object makes it lighter?

confusing one mfb you mean That is right only if I use abandoned definition of "mass". so where can i get this decades old "mass'' definition?I am new to science and starting on "emersion stage" and afraid someday i shall reach the "i had enough-of-it stage"...

Does stopping a very fast object makes it lighter?

sorry..lets omit the "to not reaching c" i expect answer. scenario is part of the query. oh.. is relativity passe

Does stopping a very fast object makes it lighter?

What if the object is a meteor that just missed the moon and is suddenly prevented by a superman from colliding with our planet successfully halted before entering the atmosphere? Maybe far out example of no heat exchange involved, the doubt is: when we push on object it would gain mass to not...

Does stopping a very fast object makes it lighter?

correction.."light electron" is not especial. same as any electron at rest.. #10 Interesting , thanks a reliable source informed me that minimum mass of an object is when it is at rest..

Does stopping a very fast object makes it lighter?

Awesome! mass was decreased then we have "light electron" but will the -e absorb radiation & increase mass if magnet field is reverse to accelerate it?

Does stopping a very fast object makes it lighter?

    time \downarrow m=1 ...:cool:... fast moving v=c/2--> m=1 ...<--F=1... x=0 start stopping v=c/2--> m=? ...:mad:<--F=0... x=1 End here v=0

Master Darts in a Moving Elevator to Precision Aim

Doing that on top of the high mountain is the same.. no acceleration but different g "acceleration due to gravity due to altitude" (should have use that phrase in my last post). Thus, lighter "darts" to throw . Aiming is a matter of memorizing the motor complex for certain dart flight..try 3...

Master Darts in a Moving Elevator to Precision Aim

No, different acceleration is experienced due to altitude but the probability could be the same

Does stopping a very fast object makes it lighter?

No ideal what to add.. maybe: speed of moving object = half c , stop point in reference to the point of initial contact.. in a way , since you mention "unless" i assumed it is positive

Does stopping a very fast object makes it lighter?

Hey guys, If we stop a very fast moving object will it lose weight ?..i need a hand on this matter. Thanks

Is it possible to see objects move faster than c?

At any point in time ,our (galaxy) have relative speed to any galaxy..different frames of reference w/ same physics.. but as the space expand w/ accelaration can the relative speed exceeds 1? or we are we co-moving with them even the distance between us galaxies increases refer #12

I wanted to know how it is determined uncertainty

is uncertainty applicable with the speed of light? like 3x10^8m/s≥c

Is it possible to see objects move faster than c?

oh i see.. distance is not an object too

Is it possible to see objects move faster than c?

Somewhere on my readings here in the forums i happen to read about galaxy can move faster. it involves the apparent expansion of space.. i lost that thread sorry

How Do Springs Work? - Explaining Physics Mechanism

it is a mechanics of material that is involve .. a long round bar stretched along its ends..lengthens & thins ,when compressed.. it shortens & fattens, (the change in shape in not noticeable) . Releasing.. it return to original structure (wear/tear builds up). If twisted or bended it also...
