Why Are Solar Panels So Inefficient?
Hey guys, I am a complete beginner in the field of electrical engineering so please bare with me in this discussion. It is my understanding that; 1) The Earth absorbs 3,850,000 exajoules in solar energy every year, which means that if we could harness even 50% of the suns power for just one...- shoook

Graduate Theory Q: "Persistence of Light Inside an Impenetrable Sphere?
Thanks for the input guys! Is there a known material that is "most reflective" to light? Is there a known material that is "most impenetrable" by light? Thanks again. -

Graduate Theory Q: "Persistence of Light Inside an Impenetrable Sphere?
Hey guys, I have a theory question for you that may have been posed before but I can't find an answer to (not a school question): There is a sphere with a completely impenetrable and reflective interior surface. A light in the visible spectrum is emitted from within this sphere. Because no... -

Can e^3 be converted to a logarithmic function with a value of 0.0498?
okay if the equation was e^-3=0.0498 would I just rewrite it as: ln(e^-3)=ln(0.0498) ? Also, does ln remain on the right side as well as the left?- shoook

Can e^3 be converted to a logarithmic function with a value of 0.0498?
1. Convert to logarithmic function: e^3=0.0498 3. ln(-3)=0.0166 is my guess- shoook

How can completing the square help with graphing transformations?
1. Graph the function f(x)=x^2+4x+3 by starting with the graph of y=x^2 and using transformations. 2. 3. I know the graph opens up, but I don't understand transformations or how to solve them, any help would be greatly appreciated.- shoook

Y Intercept of Linear Eqn w/ Slope 4: Find Line of Best Fit Calculator
1. I need to know where the Y intercept would be on a linear equation with a slope of 4 and the intercepts (-22,101) and (-12,141). I also need to know how to find the line of best fit on a calculator I think the Y-int may be 189, but I don't really have any idea how to do either of these but...- shoook

Interval Notation: f(x) > 36 for x < 21
I am working with a linear line with positive slope, the points are given. 1. In interval notation write for which values f(x) > 36 2. At f(x)=36 x=21 3. I think it should look like (-inf,21)- shoook
