Determine Initial Velocity of Rocket: Range 300 km, Height 100 km
The question is A rocket has the range of 300 km and the max. height of 100km. Determine the initial velocity. How do I figure this out? I know you have to find out vertical and horizontal componets but I don't think I know how to do that.- swirly90

Calculate Travel Time for Plane with Ground Velocity of 796km/h in 100km [N]
1. How long will it take a plane to travel 100km [N] if its ground velocity is 796km/h [25 W of N] I am having the hardest time with question since I actually don't know how to start. I know it require the fomula T= V*D. I manage to get a diagram but that is far as I gone. =( Help? I...- swirly90

What is the Maximum Height a Basketball Reaches When Thrown Upward?
A referee throws a basketball veritcally upward with an initial speed of 5.0m/s. Determine the maximum height above the floor reached by the basketball if it starts from a height 1.5m How do you solve this problem? I have tried but I just don't seem to have enough information. I know...- swirly90

Average acceleration from acceleration vs time graph
I have a few question regarding Acceleration, I am not sure exactly how to get average acceleration from a acceleration vs. time graph. Do you make a slope? I drew a sample graph, say get the average acceleration from 11s - 25s? Would you try to draw a slope between the two time intervals...- swirly90
