Applying to MIT: What GPA is Necessary?
Any of you in/applying to MIT? I was wondering... I have read tons of reviews and the statistics say that the average ACT is 31... But what kind of GPA is necessary? I made a 33 on the ACT, but my GPA is only about 3.78. I accel in math and science... but I don't know what their expectations are...- The_oMeGa

Graduate Is Time the Fourth Dimension?
Locutus, if time travel were feasible, then time would no longer be regaurded as a coordinate but as a spatial dimension instead. (Not that time travel will ever be feasible) Just a thought.- The_oMeGa

Graduate What Happens to the Universe's Energy When Time Travel Leaves an Object Behind?
So majin, what do you think will happen to all of the carbon in your body when you die? is it going to evaporate? may be radiate off into space. Nope. All of the organic substances in your body, including Sacharrides, Lipids, Peptides, you name it, they will all be broken back down into...- The_oMeGa

Graduate What Happens to the Universe's Energy When Time Travel Leaves an Object Behind?
My eplanation for this would be: Say you go into the past. The molecules that you are made of have been used to make up 1000's and maybe millions of different organisms. So if you went into the past, all of the organisms of that time period that used your molecules would then disappear from...- The_oMeGa

Undergrad S.A.R.S Could this be the result of inbound Particles
My bad, I meant that not all viruses require a living host to survive. Viruses like smallpox not only require a living host to produce the next generation but also to live. This is why we have completely eradicated small pox, because once everyone was vaccinated, it was unable mutate and died out.- The_oMeGa

How exactly do they make milk from a bean?
My guess would be because Soy is so complete in that it has most of the 20 amino acids. ... Why that would have anything to do with the fact that they make it into milk...I don't know.- The_oMeGa

The Speed of Time: Unfathomable Mystery
Basically, this is my theory: Time is relative to the observer, and varies inversley with the speed of the observer but only when the observer has reached the speed of light. Say you are going at the speed of C and you increase your speed by 10Mph. If Einstein was correct in saying that C... -

The Speed of Time: Unfathomable Mystery
Hmm...dont know what i was thinking there...i don't think it is a spatial dimension...I did not mean for time to be thought of as the "platform". The "platform" i was talking about would be massive. But i do believe that time is more of a "free" dimension than the coordinate idea we... -
Graduate An Experiment to Measure Gravity Blockade in Superfluids
wow, interesting. but if turning lead into a superfluid was as easy as flipping a switch, we would know more than just theories- The_oMeGa

The Speed of Time: Unfathomable Mystery
Totoro, thank you for your efforts, but i didnt understand a damn thing you said. So alexander, you don't believe that Einstein was correct in saying time is relative? It's just a coordinate, never changing? What if, like i said, you were going the speed of light, and you accelerated to C +... -
