Courses How rigorous do these courses look?

I'm taking similar courses at a CC in San Diego as well right now. However, I don't believe all of those classes transfer to UCSD. I would suggest checking out this site for some transfer information...

Schools Importance of CC grades for grad school/internships

i think your gpa at your university is a lot more important. I'm confident that if you get a 3.0 at CC then step it up and get a 3.8 or higher at the university level, that grad schools will either a) only look at your university gpa or b) look at both and realize you didn't do too hot in CC...

Preparing for College Gen Chem: Should I Take a Prep Course?

How difficult is a College Level General Chemistry I class? I took Honors Chem in 10th grade under a very good teacher (30+ years in Chemistry field) but don't have that fond of a memory of the field. My little brother is currently taking a Chemistry class so I have his notes/book to go over...

Studying How can I improve my studying strategies for high school exams?

I always have felt the best way to study for math is to work problems over and over. I think there is definitely a difference between doing busy work and actually working problems that require some thinking though

I love math but I'm not that smart. I don't know what to do

Look at it this way: if you don't pursue a degree in Math, you are always going to look back and regret it and wonder what would of happened if you would of chosen that path instead

Do formulas prevent students from understanding concepts?

I don't think history is about memorization either, I think it's similar to Physics in the aspect that you have to know the whole story to understand the most important question, why?

algebra is the key to learning calculus. i suggest just getting an algebra book and working problems/reviewing basic concepts

    Social life and Physics/Mathematics?

quality over quantity. cliche and over-used, i know, but it really applies to this situation. best way to be happy is to just have a couple good friends that you can really trust and really have fun with. having a girlfriend/wife is, in my opinion, the ultimate cure to loneliness.

Schools Community college and want to transfer to uc berkeley for physics

i agree. it's better to prepare yourself using outside materials than just relying on the ciricculum in community college alone. i had a good physics teacher but cc math was ridiculously easy

AP Bio Struggles: Is 86% Normal?

I never thought AP classes were difficult at all. I know ap physics/bio are harder than most of the other regular classes, but they didn't seem difficult at all for me. it seemed like most of your grade was based on homework, but if you payed attention in class it was still easy to do good on...
