Undergrad Light and time- what i think about it

could u explain this? how could he say that they are interwined? and if we consider Newton's law of gravitation, can we say that gravity affects time?

Undergrad Light and time- what i think about it

this brings me to another question (no big surprise) how does gravity affect time? i mean, gravity is a force (if u go according to Newton) or it's a curvature of space (einstein). but time? it's not a force or...how exactly do u relate time to gravity?

High School Shadow Color: The Science Behind Blue LED Light and Yellow Shadows

can u people please tell me this? how do u interpret things as optical illusions ? i mean, it could not be an opticall illusion( I'm not relating to this topic) and just something else. take this case for example. it would have never flashed to me that this could be an optical illusion. i...

High School Shadow Color: The Science Behind Blue LED Light and Yellow Shadows

hey! i tried with yellow light n i got a blue shadow! this is great! the yelllow shadow took a little while to be made out but the blue one was very clear at the first sight!

High School Shadow Color: The Science Behind Blue LED Light and Yellow Shadows

i think that's a fair conclusion. the white light's a combination of colours n when we do this exp in daylight, the complement of the blue light (or any other) get's absorbed and is shown in the shadow. and i think it's shown on the shadow because, there's no where else it can be seen. ie...

High School Shadow Color: The Science Behind Blue LED Light and Yellow Shadows

i tried it too...n i saw yellow...or maybe i think i did because i knew it would. it could have been an optical illusion for me. i don't know about ur case though...hey wait a sec...it is yellow! i think u should try with different colour lights first n then see if u can find the complementary...

Undergrad Light and time- what i think about it

thanks for the recommendation. i will surely look for it. i think I'm getting it...though i won't completely understand it unless i read some books related to it. but I'm sure i'll come up with more doubts...

Undergrad Light and time- what i think about it

ok...this is confusing...fact is fact isn't it? so, how is there, "photon's perspective" and "external frames"? photon is no living thing so it has no views...so how do u say that? in "inertia" i understand, that it depends on the persons views. but this...? and we can't experience what a photon...

Undergrad Light and time- what i think about it

i think this was said by Lurch, a pf member. well, this is what i got after i looked up 'time' in wikipedia:In physics, the Planck time (tP), is the unit of time in the system of natural units known as Planck units. It is the time it would take a photon traveling at the speed of light to cross...
