    I understand that a resistor can lower current flow at the expense of heat. So essentially a resistor eats up/throws away energy? Isn't there a better way to change current flow without throwing away energy? Thanks! ...Vern

    Please; 12.5 kiloGauss = how many lbs pull . I want buy a bunch of 3/8" x 1/4" NEODYMIUM magnets. Some sellers designate Gauss, other lbs pull. Also, any tips on where to buy? Thanks!
