Reconsidering Forum Rules: The Impact of Closing Solved Threads
No, no. You and Evo say the same thing. I didn't ask for a definition for Philosophy. I was asking if there was a "standard" definition, and I went further and asked about what could be the reason there is no one, and I explained my opinion of what could be the reason there isn't one. It seems...- wajed

Reconsidering Forum Rules: The Impact of Closing Solved Threads
Is it of forums rules to close "solved" questions? Why would a thread that got one "solution" be closed? I mean, what is the gain from closing it? I haven't even seen one solved thread on PF that got closed because it got a solution. Better yet, the solution to my question was even an...- wajed

Standard definition for Philosophy
Is there a standard definition for Philosophy? If not, why? Do you think it is useful to have one? AFAIK, there is no standard definition, because there is no common characteristics between all bits of Philosophy. I think we can solve this problem by concentrating on what is most...- wajed

Graduate Quantum Mechanics and Transcendental Medition
Problem is, he is a PhD from Harvard. But the REAL problem is, he talked about the same thing in the same way in a video that was taped in (and coordinated by) Berkley University, here is the link: Now, after I was searching for the video on youtube, I also found these (I didn't watch, yet:)...- wajed

Graduate Quantum Mechanics and Transcendental Medition
I don't really know quantum mechanics, so I need your opinion. This guy is relating quantum mechanics to transcendental meditation. Is it possible that what he is saying is valid? (talk about QM finished at about 2:50)- wajed

Finding Ebook Readers for Djvu Files in Argentina
Pixel-Qi screens are the best now, I think. Features: 1) Can work in both reader mode, and LCD mode. (So you can use it for reading, and when you want you can have a full color screen for regular use.) 2) Usable under sunlight, you can go to the park at 1PM and read with no problems at all. (I...- wajed

Making a Mount for LCD Monitor - Up, Down, Left, Right, Far & Close
The problem is not that I want something cheap, well, I do, but it's not my primary goal. It's just that there probably aren't any places that sell gas springs as products. I'll go make a search today and see what rotational springs and gas springs are available, and there ain't any I'll look...- wajed

Making a Mount for LCD Monitor - Up, Down, Left, Right, Far & Close
A good idea has come to my mind. I can find used office chairs (which have adjustable heights) and take the gas spring used (I think they are gas springs, whatever they are they do the job.) The question is, they are very strong! It will be hard for me to pull them down (compress them,) so is...- wajed

How do I keep the notebook battery in good state for as long as possible
Summary of some points I read on an article: For storage: "Li-Ion batteries should be stored in a room temp or cool area neither at full charge or fully discharged. Around half charge has shown to be the best."For longer battery life (for Li-Ion batteries): 1) Battery recycling is not needed...- wajed
