AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers around "A Collection of Problems on Complex Analysis" by L. I. Volkovyskii, G. L. Lunts, and I. G. Aramanovich, highlighting its comprehensive coverage of complex analysis topics. Key areas include complex numbers, functions of a complex variable, analytic and harmonic functions, conformal mappings, and various series and integrals. The text delves into advanced concepts such as Cauchy's integral theorem, Laurent series, residues, and analytic continuation. It also explores applications in mechanics and physics, particularly in hydrodynamics and electrostatics. The book includes a substantial number of problems and solutions, making it a valuable resource for students and professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of complex analysis.

1510 probs on complex analysis. Answers to most of the computational problems, & also the occasional complete solution. Markushevich & Brown/Churchill are good references.

For the following four books, has anyone used them in a course or for self study? Hi, I have notice that Ashcroft, Mermin and Wei worked at a revised edition of the original solid state physics book (here). The book, however, seems to be never available. I have also read that the reason is related to some disputes related to copyright. Do you have any further information about it? Did you have the opportunity to get your hands on this revised edition? I am really curious about it, also considering that I am planning to buy the book in the near future... Thanks!
