Hey all. Looks like my 15 year anniversary of joining PF happened yesterday (while my internet was down). Just wanted to say thanks to everyone, staff and non-staff, for helping make PF such a wonderful community over the years. Here's to everyone at PF, current, past, or future. Cheers!

I apparently passed my 15 year PF anniversary earlier this year, but only noticed just now thanks to this post

Anyway, I too salute PF, past, present and future, hoping it will thrive as a place for people able to have sane and productive technical discussions and guidance.

I had to look it up, how long I've been here. Not even close to 15 years. But I also noticed I have a "follower". What does that mean? It seems kind of creepy.

And to think, I'm still waiting for my 15th anniversary of being alive :frown:

Jokes aside, congrats!!!

I think they get a notification when you post something. I have quite a lot, most of whom haven't been seen in years and I mostly assume they clocked the follow button by accident.

I thought you joined about when I did. But this is 22 for me. Course I haven't been active for 12 years; except to drop by once in awhile to exchange jokes and photos.

Not exactly. I Follow a number of new users, and I can see their recent activity by looking at What's New>Your News Feed. I don't get any automatic notifications for users I Follow.

Back at you bud! You're a big part of this wonderful community.

I just realized I only miss a little year for that milestone! Not that it has any earth-shattering consequences, I was just surprised. Where did that time go?

It's been 21 years for me.
I'm glad I found PF because the signal-to-noise ratio on sci.physics.relativity was terrible.

I'd imagine. I gave up on discussion groups many years ago. But hey, if you want a p.... enlargement pill or a quick Corona fix....

17 years in less than a month. Not very active lately. Getting older I suppose. But still one of the first things I do in the morning is go on PF to see the new postings. Before/(instead of) looking into the news feed. Better incentive to start a new day than the news. Never depressing.
