SUMMARY

Neuroscience and bioinformatics are two disciplines that effectively integrate mathematics, physics, and medical science. Neuroscience focuses on the study of neural networks and brain functions, while bioinformatics applies computational techniques to biological data. Both fields offer robust career opportunities for individuals with a background in medicine and an interest in quantitative analysis.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of neural networks in neuroscience
  • Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of medical science principles
  • Proficiency in mathematics and physics concepts
NEXT STEPS
  • Research advanced topics in neuroscience, focusing on neural network applications
  • Explore bioinformatics software such as BLAST and Bioconductor
  • Study the integration of mathematics in medical imaging techniques
  • Investigate career paths in bioinformatics and neuroscience
USEFUL FOR

After studying medicine, what would be a good discipline to study that involves maths/physics and also medical science? Neuroscience seems like a fairly good option (neural networks etc). Any advice?
