Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around the search for customizable particle simulators that allow users to adjust parameters such as mass, gravity, and repulsion. The scope includes both theoretical aspects of particle interactions and practical applications in simulation software.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Technical explanation, Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant requests particle simulators with adjustable properties, mentioning a preference for 3D but not requiring it.
  • Another participant questions the clarity of the request, asking for specifics about the type of particles and the nature of the forces involved.
  • A participant clarifies that they are looking for a way to make particles attract or repel using numerical values, describing them as circles floating around.
  • Some participants suggest that the original request is still unclear, indicating confusion about the requirements.
  • One participant proposes specific links to flash physics engines as potential solutions.
  • Another participant expresses a desire for more customization in the suggested simulators.
  • A later reply suggests that programming a custom simulator may be necessary to achieve the desired level of customization.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants do not reach a consensus on the specifics of the request, with some expressing confusion and others providing suggestions. Multiple competing views on the nature of the desired simulators remain unresolved.

Contextual Notes

The discussion lacks clarity on the definitions of the particles and forces involved, and there are unresolved questions about the level of customization required.

Any good particle simulators with adjustable mass, gravity, repulsion. (3D would be nice, but I don't need it to be 3D)

This is too vague. Particles of what? If there is gravity, why is there repulsion? I have no idea what you want.

As in, I can either make them attract or repel with number values. Particles as in sort of circles floating around. Sorry if I was a bit vague.

That's not any clearer.

Yes, like those, but with a bit more customization if possible.

I think you'll need to program one yourself :)
