Hi,
I have a question which consist of a table of results which include. tension and extension. In my question it says ' Use table to draw up a table of stress and strain and plot a graph' My questions is how do i calculate the stress and strain from the extension and tension. I'll show couple results to show this

Tension/10(3)N Extension/10(-3)m
0.0 0.0
35.0 0.1
38.0 0.2

From the results above please could you help me by telling me how to calculate the stress/strain from those results.
Thanks in advance
Jimmer

I don't follow yor table, are these given stress and strain values that you just plot?

In order to get stress and strain, you need to know the member length and area or elasticity modulus.
