    Can anyone tell me what is this formula??

    hello every one , i wanted to know if the formula in the picture has a certain name??

    To me it looks like a variant of the Morse potential.

    what i know about the Morse potential is that its not a symmetric potential, but the one in the picture is a symmetric , am i right?

    If you mean that V(x)=V(-x), then you're right, of course.
