SUMMARY

The CBC has officially called the Canadian election in favor of the Liberal Party, signaling a significant shift in the country's political landscape. This change is expected to enhance Canada's international standing, particularly in climate change initiatives, following the departure of a Prime Minister who denied climate issues. The new government is anticipated to alter Canada's military involvement, specifically withdrawing fighter planes from the fight against ISIS. The recent political developments align with similar changes in Australia, where a denialist Prime Minister was also ousted.

  • Knowledge of international relations, particularly regarding climate change policies

Looks like CBC is calling the election for the Liberals:

What's your general reaction? How might Canada change its path, with respect to international affairs -- like the increasing instability in the Middle East?

Well one really excellent thing is that Canada will probably stop being a pariah on climate change action, now that it's gotten rid of a PM that denies it's happening.

Australia got rid of its denialist PM a few weeks ago, and everybody is much happier already!

... and the Cabinet has been sworn in.

Good on them catching the bus to the Governor-General's.
