It's February, and http://my.funtrivia.com/private/main.cfm?tid=87626". Check out the trivia sticky at the top of this page for the link after this thread disappears.

The competition is month to month, with monthly winners kept in the "hall of fame."

It requires a simple registration (no invasive repercussions) with the 3rd party host, Integral is the local administrator so it's legit. We have had around 10 usual contestants, but the more the merrier, and more interesting.

The only drawback is that I evidently must read the entire "Dark Tower" series to consistently do well on the "literature" questions. Grrrrrrrrr.

Overall, it's a fun little addiction. Give it a try today!

What!? I had no idea The Dark Tower was in there— I'm going to blow you guys out of the water :-p

The sticky might also be a good place to post the names and scores of the top trivialists each month. Anyone know who the winners were, last month?

It would be nice if we could find a few more regular players. The more people playing the more worthless points the winner gets. Is it time to change a quiz or two? I am pretty happy with the current line up. Of course there are some troublesome questions, I am with Chi in that Steve King is just borerline literature and most certianly aroma thererpy is NOT sci/tech but we all have to deal with the same questions.

Go to the "Hall of Fame" tab to see the top ten of each month.

Can't seem to remember who won last time, hmmmmmmmmm...

Erm, how does one actually PLAY THE GAME?

Click the "Play today's game" link in the center left of the home screen. You will need to register the first time you join. A cookie will be set. Again, there have been no invasive repercussions, and the registration is quick.

Some general hints.

You get 100 points for a correct answer, but 1 point is taken off for each second you reuire to answer. So, first priority is to be correct, then to be quick. When the day is done, the people are ranked according to the daily score. The winner receives as many points as the number of people who played that day, with the rest receiving less, down to 2 points just for playing.

Some questions are just garbage, but we all get them, so it is "fair enough."

There is a "shout out" area to post a short comment, usually about how crappy a certain question is.
